Nautel receives two awards at NAB 2009

We're happy to announce that Nautel products have been recognized with two of the industries most prestigious awards at this years NAB show.

RadioWorld awarded Nautel with it's 2009 Cool Stuff award for its HD PowerBoost technology which is being demonstrated at the Nautel stand. HD Powerboost is a software solution developed by Nautel that uses an intelligent peak to average power ratio (PAPR) technique to allow broadcasters to achieve higher IBOC injection levels (above -20dB) without purchasing additional transmitter power.

Radio Magazine recognized the recently expanded line-up of NV Series FM transmitters with it's 2009 Pick Hit award. The NV40 is a past recipient of Radio Magazine's Pick Hit award when it was introduced at the 2008 NAB show. The NV Series was recently expanded to include 7 new transmitters: NV3.5, NV5, NV7.5, NV10, NV15, NV20, NV30 and NV40. This makes the NV Series the industries most complete lineup of solid state FM transmitters with the ability to meet virtually any broadcasters needs.

Research Engineer Philipp Schmid presents HD Coverage Toolkit at NAB

At NAB Nautel showcased technologies and concepts that address enhanced IBOC coverage. Coverage strategies may include increased IBOC power or cost effective boosters or a combination of both. The Nautel booth featured an HD Radio studio site linked by a high bandwidth STL to a 10 kW main transmitter which was in turn linked by a separate high speed STL to a booster site.

Philipp Schmid of Nautels demonstrates the HD Coverage Toolkit and some of the industry first technologies displayed at the NAB show.
